1: Accessing Transcripts+
To access Transcripts+, select Transcripts+ on the bottom right, below the video window. The Transcripts+ view will appear to the right of the video preview window.
Then, open the Choose session dropdown. Once you choose a session, the session contents will appear.
2: Machine Transcripts
The Machine Transcript is your full, time-coded record of each session, capturing every word with speaker identification, so you can locate key quotes and moments effortlessly.
Select the Transcription tab to open the Machine Transcript panel.
2.1: Setting Speaker Names
To more easily identify speakers in the machine transcript, a moderator or observer should name and/or rename the speakers of the session
Select the Rename speakers button next to the session selection drop-down.
Rename the users appropriately and select Save. The default names (S1, S2, etc.) are replaced by your chosen names.
2.2: Jumping to a specific comment
Select any line of speech in the transcript to be brought to that point in the video automatically.
The selected line of speech will then be highlighted.
2.3: Downloading Transcripts
Select Download transcription to download a copy of the transcript to your device in Microsoft Word format. You can easily edit, or Find & Replace words in the downloaded transcript.
3: Smart Topics
Select Topics to switch to the Topics tab. You will then see a list of all instances within the session where specific topics have been discussed.
The current topics available for review are: Business & Finance, Education, Entertainment, Events & Attractions, Food & Drink, News & Politics, Science, Sports, Technology & Computing, and Travel.
Selecting a topic will automatically skip to the relevant section of session video.
Topics can also be downloaded in Microsoft Word format by selecting Download Topics near the top of the screen.
4: AI Summary
AI Summary provides a quick overview of the session’s main points, ideal for high-level reporting or as a jumping-off point for more detailed analysis. After a session ends, you’ll see the AI-generated summary on the dashboard, covering the top themes and insights.
Select the Summary tab to open the summary for the selected session. You can view the entire summary in the Summary pane and download a Microsoft Word format version of the summary by selecting Download Summary next to the session drop-down.
5: Custom Topics
The Custom Topics feature allows users to define and manage their own topics tailored to the specific needs of their research projects. By leveraging Smart Topic Detection, the system can automatically identify and categorize topics even when they are not explicitly mentioned in the text. Automatic Tagging then tags these identified topics within the session transcripts, making it easier to organize and analyze session data.
You can define Custom Topics from the Project Page by selecting TRANSCRIPTS+ on the right side of the navigation bar.
Note: Custom topics set at the Master Project level will be inherited by all individual project days. However, custom topics set at the Project Day level will override the inherited topics for that specific day.
The configuration window will display.
5.1: Adding Custom Topics
Under the TOPICS header, enter your desired topic in the Enter a topic field. Select the plus icon to add it to your list.
You can add up to 10 custom topics, which will be displayed below the entry field.
Select Save to apply your custom topics across the selected project.
5.2: Removing Custom Topics
To remove a topic, select the minus icon next to the topic name.
To remove all topics, select Delete, then Remove topics to clear all topics from your list if necessary.
5.3: Limitations and Considerations for Custom Topics
Once a project has been archived, custom topics cannot be edited. Editing would require re-processing the session recordings, which is not currently supported. The Transcripts+ button is not available on archived projects.
Changes to custom topics made at the Master Project level will only be reflected in currently live or upcoming projects. Archived projects will not reflect these updates retroactively.
6: Custom Dictionary
The Custom Dictionary lets you add unique or industry-specific terms, so they’re transcribed correctly from the start, cutting down on manual corrections.
From the Project Page, select TRANSCRIPTS+ on the right side of the navigation bar.
In project settings, add the words or jargon that are important to your project. You can also include "sounds like" words to help the AI identify the phrases properly. Once entered, the AI “remembers” them, keeping transcriptions accurate every time.
Your transcripts will now reflect your custom words correctly.
To remove a word, select the minus icon next to the entry.
To remove all custom word, select Delete, then Remove dictionary to clear all custom words from your list if necessary.
